Have you ever felt like you can’t get it all done?
Have you ever wished for an extra day in the week? It’s the nature of the
entrepreneur and especially for authors. You’ve more likely discovered
by now that there is no end in sight. Once you’ve accomplished one phase,
the next is upon you and there is no end in sight.
One of the greatest insights my mentor told me
was to commit in writing every task that I had to do. Then once it was
in writing I was able hire an assistant to take over the tasks that slowed
me down or sometimes plain irritated me.
So one of the greatest resources I’ve found is
elance.com. There is someone out there who will do almost anything that
you don’t want to do. I verify that the vendor has good ratings, has been
on elance for longer than a year and I look through their portfolio. I’ll
even contact their clients to see how they work with their clients.
And Claudia Guzman has created a program called
“LeadPods” and will have a full time telemarketer work for you for $1,500
a month. You can even share the cost with others. She’ll have her team
train with you to develop the program to your exact specifications.
So what will you do with an extra five to ten
hours a week?

Getting exposure to your website has more to do with
marketing rather than Search Engine Optimization. Both are necessary, but
driving traffic to your site has more impact on building long-term relationships.
One of the best methods of SEM is to write articles
and have them posted on ezines that have a similar direction as your site.
The search engines rate your site by the number of links coming back to
your site (back-links) especially when your topics are the same.
One great resource to find ezines is the http://www.ezine-dir.com
site. Another is going to http://selfgrowth.com. You’ll find authors that
have ezines and will be more than happy to collaborate with you.
Another resource that I have used that is very
successful is http://www.submitedge.com who will create three articles
for you for $50 and submit them to all the ezines they can find that have
a connection to your topic. It takes about six weeks, but you will definitely
see a tremendous difference in the rankings of your website.
Last year I discovered Facebook and it has single
handedly had the largest impact on my website rankings. And it’s affected
all my sites, not just the ones with the links on Facebook.
The higher the ranking the more visibility, but
beyond that, you’ll get noticed by others who can make a huge difference
in your success.
